SUMMARY:The Music of James Bond (early show)
DESCRIPTION:XPERIENCE LIVE presents The Music of James Bond – performed in a stunning setting at Selby Abbey. \nFriday 31st July 2026 | Doors: 5:30pm | Show: 6:15pm–7:30pm | Last entry: 6:00pm \nFriday 31st July 2026 | Doors: 8:00pm | Show: 8:30pm–9:45pm | Last entry: 8:15pm \n\nThe Music of James Bond \nFrom the moment the first chord strikes\, audiences are transported into the mysterious and\nthrilling world of James Bond. This incredible Chamber Orchestra brings the legendary music of\nJames Bond to life in a way that is bold\, elegant and utterly unforgettable.\nThis is more than a concert – it is an orchestral tribute to one of cinema’s most iconic legacies.\nAcross six decades\, the music of Bond has been defined by extraordinary voices: Dame\nShirley Bassey\, whose soaring performances of “Goldfinger”\, “Diamonds Are Forever” and\n“Moonraker” set the gold standard; Adele\, whose Oscar-winning “Skyfall” became an instant\nclassic; Sam Smith’s haunting “Writing’s On the Wall”; and Billie Eilish’s powerful and\npoignant “No Time To Die”. These songs – and the artists behind them – have given Bond its\nunmistakable sound.\nPerformed by world-class musicians and vocalists\, every note echoes the sophistication of the\nJames Bond universe. The sound of sweeping strings and bold brass stirs images of high-speed\ncar chases\, exotic escapes and unforgettable encounters. The sultry tones of the singers evoke\nBond’s timeless glamour.\nThis is a night where music and cinema intertwine\, where audiences don’t just listen to – they\nfeel it\, they live it.\nThe Great British Film Orchestra is dedicated to celebrating the soundtracks that have\ndefined the golden age of cinema and beyond. With each performance\, we honour the artistry of\ncomposers and storytellers who have given us moments that transcend the screen.\nSo\, don your finest attire\, raise a glass and prepare for an evening of breathtaking music and\nthe unmistakable thrill of James Bond.\nDisclaimer: This concert is an independent tribute production. It is not affiliated with\, sponsored\nby\, or endorsed by any rights holders of the James Bond franchise. Titles are used solely to\ndescribe the musical programme to audiences. \nDisclaimer\nPlease be advised that this orchestral performance will include the use of strobe lighting and\nPortman lighting effects. These may involve intense flashes\, rapid light changes\, and bright\nvisual effects\, which may be synchronised with the music.\nIn addition\, there may be moments of heightened volume and dynamic contrast typical of a live\norchestra.\nThese elements may not be suitable for individuals with photosensitive epilepsy\, sensory\nsensitivities\, or those sensitive to loud sound levels. SUMMARY:The Music of James Bond (later show)
DESCRIPTION:XPERIENCE LIVE presents The Music of James Bond – performed in a stunning setting at Selby Abbey.
