Flamboyant and impassioned, Eliza Carthy has re-energised traditional music with imagination and fearless individuality. The daughter of folk legends Martin Carthy & Norma Waterson, she grew up immersed in the world of traditional music and from an early age was championed by John Peel, Andy Kershaw and Billy Bragg.
Performing in one of Yorkshire’s most atmospheric and beautiful spaces, she appears with her powerhouse touring band to create an exhilarating live experience – folk music rooted in tradition, yet bold, alive and relevant.
