Maundy Thursday – 2nd April
7.30pm Sung Eucharist (with the Choir)
The service focusses on the Last Supper and includes of Renewal of Christian Discipleship. It is followed by the ‘stripping of the altars’ and other church furnishing, leaving the Abbey as bare and unadorned as possible in preparation for Good Friday, and the opportunity for people to stay for a quiet prayer vigil until 10pm if they wish.
