Selby Abbey is delighted to welcome back chart topping soprano and star of The Voice UK, Nadia Eide, as she presents a spectacular Christmas concert for all ages. Singing festive favourites and classic songs, this show is sure to bring the Christmas joy!

Nadia came to the nation’s attention on the ITV’s The Voice UK when she blew Tom Jones, Olly Murs, Anne-Marie and most notably will.i.am away with her powerful voice. By combining emotion, vocal dexterity and stratospheric notes she, not only became a finalist on the hit show,  but won the hearts of the UK pushing the genre of classical crossover into the world of mainstream music.

This Scandinavian-born, coloratura soprano has already achieved critical acclaim on stage as a versatile opera and musical theatre star, and is now breaking the mould of the classical crossover genre, receiving standing ovations worldwide for her concert shows. In addition to being invited to sing for Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Edinburgh at Windsor Castle, she has also sung some of the world’s biggest arenas including London’s O2 and Wembley. She was recently asked to open for Alfie Boe on his 2024 Encore tour.

After securing two no 1 singles in the classical charts, her hotly anticipated album Reimagined rocketed to the top spot in the classical iTunes Charts upon its release surpassing the likes of Andrea Bocelli and Ludovico Einaudi. She also recently featured on The Voice Norway being mentored by pop icon Ina Wroldsen.

This concert will also feature a special guest choir.

Nadia is thrilled to be collaborating with the environmental  charity Earth Trust again this year to raise funds for their upcoming projects, planting trees and furthering their nature based education for children.
